ULLA Summer School 2024
We have 18-20 seats at the ULLA Summer School taking place 29 June-6 July 2024 in Leiden, the Netherlands. The programme has not yet been finalized, but this year we have the following themes:
- Scientific: Drug discovery, Drug development, Artificial Intelligence, Biologics (eg. mRNA therapies, nanomedicine), Biomarkers, Therapy (eg. vaccination, cell-based therapies), Precision medicine (eg. employing single cell sequencing for personalized treatment, theranostics)
- Innovation and Entrepreneurship
- Sustainability (eg. workshop FAIR data management)
- General skills (eg. Illustrator/Biorender workshop, communication in science, mindfulness course)
The ULLA Summer School is expected to give approximately 5 ECTS credits depending on the final programme.
We expect more than 200 PhD students from pharmaceutical institutions in Uppsala, London, Leiden/Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Paris, Parma, Leuven, Helsinki, and Geneva to participate in the ULLA Summer School which normally takes place every 2nd year.
In case you are interested in participating in the ULLA Summer School, please fill in this preregistration form before 21 February 2024.
We cannot guarantee you a seat at the ULLA Summer School if we have more than 18-20 interested PhD students. In case we are unable to get more seats we will have to make a prioritization or a draw. PhD students who have already participated in an ULLA Summer School (except the online ULLA summer school 2021) or ULLA workshop will get a lower priority as to the ULLA Summer School 2024.
If you get a seat there will not be any course fee or lodging expenses. Travelling expenses (max 200 EUR) will be covered by DRA. You can expect expenses to meals not included in the programme and transportation in Leiden during the Summer School.
We will apply for support from the Graduate School for the participating PhD students from Copenhagen and the summer school will thus be registered on the PhD student’s file as support to an external course.
