University of Geneva has joined ULLA consortium to become its 10th member
ULLA, the European University Consortium for Pharmaceutical Sciences, is welcoming our tenth member: the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Geneva. The School, which is heading the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Western Switzerland (ISPSO) representing several academic institutions from the French speaking part of Switzerland, joins ULLA starting in 2022 as full member.
"We are honoured to have been accepted to this eminent organization and are looking forward to work with our partners" said Prof. Jean-Luc-Veuthey, president of the Geneva school. Prof. Gerrit Borchard, ULLA representative for Geneva mentioned "As a former member of one of the founding institutions of ULLA I am very happy to bring the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Geneva into the fold".
"ULLA is very proud to welcome ISPSO, underlining the cross-European character of our organization" says Prof. Hubertus Irth, chairman of the ULLA Executive Committee. The participation of Geneva University will significantly strengthen the primary aim of the ULLA network: to enhance collaboration within education and research in pharmaceutical sciences between the member universities. One of the cornerstones of ULLA are the biennial summer schools for PhD students.
The ULLA institutions are complementary in their research and teaching missions and by coming together, they possess a synergy that allows the consortium to have a greater impact on the European scene. As such, ULLA coordinates joint applications for EU funded research.
