Molecular Precision from Venom: How Conotoxins Engage Nicotinic Acetylcholine Receptors

DRA lecture held by Professor Andrew Jamieson, University of Glasgow, Scotland

Professor Jamieson’s work involves peptide and medicinal chemistry, including cyclized and stapled peptides. In his lecture, he will present chemical biology investigations of conotoxin analogs to investigate their interaction ionotropic receptors. Conotoxins have investigated extensively in medicinal chemistry, and one conotoxin drug is currently approved for clinical use.

The lecture is organised on behalf of the graduate programme in pharmaceutical sciences, Drug Research Academy, by Professor Christian Adam Olsen, Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen.

The DRA lecture is free of charge and open for attendance by all interested parties. It is not necessary to pre-register.
