Population PKPD modelling

PopSim – DRA symposium and workshops

The PopSim Board and DRA host two workshops and a symposium around the implementation and application of population PKPD modelling in clinical research. We want to attract a broad audience to this meeting, so the program is tailored to both newcomers (for example master students, PhD students, clinicians and other researchers without modelling expertise) as well as established pharmacometricians.

On the first day, we have an introduction to PKPD modelling for newcomers in the field.

On the second day, we have a symposium in the morning with lectures on PBPK of large molecules, Clinical applications of PKPD modelling and PKPD modelling in the industrial setting and in the afternoon an advanced modelling workshop in nlmixr2. The advanced workshop can be attended after attending the beginner’s workshop, or it can be attended stand-alone for participants already familiar with pharmacometrics.

As this is a hands-on-workshop, participants will be required to bring a laptop and install R and nlmixr2 https://nlmixr2.org/ prior to the workshop.

The symposium is organized on behalf of the graduate programme in pharmaceutical sciences, Drug Research Academy, by Associate Professor Trine Meldgaard Lund, Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen. The symposium is organized in collaboration with the PopSim Board (Section for Quantitative Pharmacology) under the Danish Pharmaceutical Society.
